Parenting is hard - You shouldn’t have to do it alone.

Julia Friar, MSW

Hi, I’m Julia! I’m a clinical social worker specializing in children, youth, and families, and I’m also a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families in both clinical and school settings, working with children of all ages to help them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

I’m also a mama of two, and my family’s journey has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and joys of parenting. Our oldest son was diagnosed with an ultra-rare genetic condition just nine days after he was born, which inspired me to become a passionate advocate for the rare disease community.

I love championing parents—helping them find their true calm, connect deeply with their children, and feel confident in their parenting choices. My approach combines evidence-based strategies with compassion and empathy, so parents feel supported, not judged, on their journey.

When I’m not working with families, I enjoy finding ways to connect with other mamas, share experiences, and celebrate the small wins that make parenting so meaningful. My goal is to help every parent I work with feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Become the parent you were made to be.
